mayan symbol

Hunab Ku was the supreme god of the Mayans. Hunab Ku was the ultimate creator.  At first, no images existed of Hunab Ku since he was considered to be without visible form.   However, a Mayan glyph representing a “black hole” at the center of our galaxy does exist.  To the Mayan’s, Hunab Ku represented a black hole in the universe -- the gateway to other galaxies beyond our Sun as well as a gateway to all of the consciousness that ever existed in the galaxy.

The Hunab Ku Symbol that my friend and web designer Alejo Maya chose as the logo for our web site is better known as The Galactic Butterfly and it is said to represent all of the consciousness that has ever existed in our world, our galaxy; the consciousness of all living things including animals, plants and people.  It is a symbol of unity which connects all of us and all living things regardless of distance, events and time.

The Galactic Butterfly also represents the shedding of old ideas and the giving birth of new ones.  It speaks to responsibility, accountability and above all, creativity, which brings us closer to the light – closer to God.  It speaks to the fight and flight to become something different – to become Powerful and Consciously Creative!

The Galactic Butterfly, to me, has come to represent a philosophy that is in direct alignment with James Arthur Ray’s knowing that by “going 3 for 3” -- by consistently thinking, feeling and acting according to universal laws and proven principles of success -- we can consciously create and attract the lives we truly desire and deserve – we can create and attract HarmonicWealth in all key areas of our lives and we can also have a positive impact in our communities and the world.

*In Lak’ech Ala K’in - The Living Code of the Heart - is an ancient Mayan greeting that when said with one’s hands cupped over one’s heart is an honoring of each other.  In modern day interpretation it means I am another yourself, I am another you. In the traditional Mayan interpretation it means, I am you and you are me. It is a statement of unity and oneness.  In Lak’ech Ala K’in mirrors the same sentiment of other beautiful and heart-felt greetings such as Namasté for East India, Wiracocha for the Inca, and Mitakuye Oyasin for the Lakota or Lakotah of North America.
